Very cool lot from the State of Alabama of various highway maps with vibrant graphics, vintage advertising flyers for attractions and letter from the State of Alabama Highway Department. In 1941, a man from Fremont, Wisconsin sent a letter to the state of Alabama requesting map booklets and information about traveling to Alabama. The reply letter, providing great provenance, dated September 13, 1941 from J.R. McCoy, the Director of the State Bureau of Publicity and Information, provided a response and included the maps and flyers in this auction lot.
