The cards are a smooth matte finish. This is a new deck that I have only looked through to take pictures of. There are interesting facets to this deck touching on inner world, outer, physical and spiritual all depicted in a bird theme. Beautiful and unique cards. The booklet includes descriptions of the cards as well as spreads you can work with if you choose. Each card has an indicator word at the bottom.
